In 2010 the charismatic Berlin-based DJ & producer team ROBOSONIC upgrade its environment with a brand new operating system.
In the past years, ROBOSONIC aka Sacha Robotti and Cord Henning Labuhn have been building a reputation for producing multidimensional electronic music with their highly acclaimed debut album âSturm und Drangâ [accompanied by a series of 12â vinyl], released on their own baby label DISKOMAFIA in November 2007.
Tracks by ROBOSONIC have since been remixed by stars like Oliver Koletzki [Cocoon, Stil vor Talent] & Florian Meindl [Trapez, Flash], Jesse Rose [Made To Play], Christopher Just [Gigolo, Kitsuné], Deadset [Frontroom] or Alexander Robotnick and played by a long list of famous DJ names.
Besides their productions, ROBOSONIC are notorious for their DJ performances. The boys have proven that their music is equally comfortable in the club, on penthouse parties or the radio, at alternative festivals and illegal raves, fashion shows and obscure private venues from Berlin to Milano, New York to Buenos Aires, Sydney to San Francisco or simply while you are jogging in the Tiergarten.
For more than a year, ROBOSONIC have split to represent in Berlin and Buenos Aires and reunited in glossy Miami at the Winter Music Conference in 2008.
From May â08 onwards they have collaborated with their friends from the BERLIN MITTE INSTITUT Web TV show in order to host their own BERLIN KREUZBERG INSTITUT [BKI] show which was initially aired monthly on Proton, USA. The BKI since became an popular podcast platform for DJ mixes and live sets of talent in electronic dance music, like Phonique, Anja Schneider, Riva Starr, Style of Eye, Stephan Bodzin, Dominik Eulberg, Rodriguez Jr., Zombie Disco Squad, Mike Monday, Dapayk, CatsâNâDogs, the Martin Brothers and the Keinemusik crew just to name a few…
After scientific research on the change of DJ culture [in Sociology & Musicology] and a university degree [in âSound Studiesâ] guided by former Kraftwerk member Karl Bartos, the musicians left University to turn their passion into their profession in 2009, as Sacha and Cord decided to switch to a next level of creative work and business ventures.
ROBOSONICâs idea of how to manifest this progress can best be described as installing an updated âOperating Systemâ – a new form of artist management and development that will help them to realize their artistic vision and project ideas. The new OS includes office and studio upgrades, a tight support team, new partners and last but not least a fresh mind state.
This dynamic web-interface – ROBOSONIC OS 2.0 – invites the public and fans to share ROBOSONICâs creative workflow or even become a part of it. Visitors of the redesigned BKI website â located at www.berlin-kreuzberg-institut-com – get access to all shows since day one.
Fans, followers and potential partners at any position in the creative industries are welcome to participate and give their support in exchange of the output of ROBOSONIC.
Expect creative chaos on a next level, open source inspiration, wild parties, visual workout with love and detail, sweat on the walls, precious production, bass music with a 4/4 heartbeat, hi-tech soul!
